Owatonna Mayor Welcomes Pillsbury Prep International Students to Minnesota

Owatonna Mayor Tom Kunz Welcomes Pillsbury Prep International Students to Minnesota

Pillsbury College Prep was honored and happy to receive the following welcome for our international students to Owatonna from Mayor Tom Kunz. Owatonna is a beautiful town nestled in the Minnesota countryside that gives it a safe and close knit feeling that is a perfect environment for our boarding school. Our academic program and boarding school activities thrive in this welcome and hospitable community.

Yet, with the Twin Cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis just an hour away, there is plenty of chances for our students to experience historical and cultural trips to the cities. We think it is the perfect atmosphere for all of our students to live, learn and make lasting friendships. Read the letter below and then call us to get more
information on Owatonna and our international boarding school today!

Mayor Tom Kunz Welcomes International Students, Staff and Family

Dear International Srudents, Faculty, Staff and Parents:

The city of Owatonna and the state of Minnesota are excited about the partnership between Pillsbury College Prep, Camp Pillsbury and visitors from outside the USA. We welcome and encourage international students from around the world and are looking forward to hosting you.

Owatonna, Minnesota is a community where progress and growth are built on a strong foundation of history. Today, more than 25,000 people call Owatonna home. Owatonna is a community that boasts high average income and education levels. Owatonna is a safe, wholesome, mid-American small town who’s residents are strong in character and devoted to family values. Owatonna is close to the big metropolitan twin cities, Minneapolis and St. Paul as well as Rochester, the home of the Mayo Clinic.

Owatonna and the state of Minnesota view education as a high economic development tool. Education is the best forward looking and strategic place to invest. Children are the next generation of leaders. Preparing students to start
businesses, launch successful careers, bring creative ideas to life and pursue their dreams in an increasingly globalized market is a priority for us. It is an opportunity that we want for all students.

Working together we can present opportunities to allow students to continue their growth in the academic realm, and I believe this new alliance is a step in the right direction.

On behalf of the City of Owatonna and the great state of Minnesota, I wish you much success with this new endeavor. We look forward to meeting you in person when you arrive at Pillsbury.

Sincerely,

Tom Kunz
